New washi paper table lamps

Japanese washi (mulberry) paper is difficult to work with.

It shouldn’t be - it’s a robust firm paper which is easy to fold (popular for origami). But when you try to cut it with a craft knife, attempting to get a clean shape edge, the layers tear.

I’ve made lampshades and table lamps before from this product, just need to get back into practice!
